Last updated: 14 June 2026These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Guru Maytri application and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating or using an account, or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
2. Eligibility & accounts
The Service is intended for school administrators and teachers who have been authorised by a participating school. Accounts are provisioned by the school. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Account security
Access is secured by one-time-password sign-in. Keep your device and credentials secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may revoke access where we reasonably believe an account has been compromised or misused.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purpose.
- Access data you are not authorised to access, or attempt to breach security or rate limits.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt or interfere with the Service.
- Upload malware or content that infringes others’ rights or violates any law.
- Misuse student or staff personal data in violation of applicable law or your school’s policies.
5. School & student data responsibilities
Schools and their staff are responsible for the accuracy and lawful handling of the data they enter, including obtaining any consents required from parents or guardians for student information. You agree to use such data only for legitimate educational and administrative purposes and in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, logos and content (excluding data you enter), is owned by Guru Maytri and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the data your school enters.
7. Availability & “as is” service
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guru Maytri and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app (Profile → About → Delete My Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service, other users or comply with the law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts located in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
